Jane Porterfield, Founder and Executive Director
Jane is the Founder and Executive Director of Educational Playcare. She earned her BA in Education from LaSalle University and her MA in Early Childhood Education from St. Joseph College. She holds active memberships in several professional organizations including the Hartford Association for the Education of Young Children (HAEYC), NAEYC, The National Association of Child Care Professionals and the Hartford Area Child Care Collaborative. For many years Jane also served as a Validator for the NAEYC. As such she visited other centers in regard to their applications for accreditation. Most recently Jane was elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the National Child Care Association (NCCA). |

Carrie Ridel, Director (Avon)
Carrie has worked for EPC in several different capacities. She was the coordinator of our kindergarten enrichment program, a preschool teacher and our preschool site director. Prior to working at Educational Playcare, Carrie was a lead toddler teacher for a dozen years as well as the assistant director of a local child care center. Carrie has a degree in Early Childhood Education, is Head Teacher Certified and holds a Connecticut Director’s Credential.

Adrienne Ricciardi, Director (Farmington)
Adrienne, Director of our Farmington center, earned her degree in Early Childhood Education and has over 17 years of experience as a teacher and Director. She is a member of the NAEYC, NACCP and is CT State Head Teacher Certified. Adrienne also serves on the board of HAEYC. She is also a certified Red Cross Instructor in Infant/Toddler CPR and First Aid.
Adrienne lives with her husband in Southington. |

Tracey Tomlinson, Director (Windsor)
Tracy is the Director of our Windsor location. She is a native of Canada and moved to this area almost 7 years ago with her husband and two children. Tracey has earned her degree in Early Childhood Education and has over 25 years of childcare experience, split almost evenly between teaching and as a Director. She is a member of the NAEYC, NACCP, HAEYC and is CT State Head Teacher Certified. She is also a certified Red Cross Instructor in Infant/Toddler CPR and First Aid. |

Kim Phillips, Director (Simsbury)
Kim Phillips is the director of the new Simsbury location. She is a lifelong Simsbury resident who received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Kim began working at EPC in 1990. She has been a Director at another local center and has worked as a Kindergarten and Fourth Grade Teacher. Kim has spent numerous hours across the country observing early childhood preschool programs. Kim is a member of NAEYC and HAEYC and has served as a Validator for NAEYC. |
