7 Educational Playcare Teachers Awarded 2020 Terri Lynne Lokoff AwardRecognizing the need to raise the status of child care teachers and the need for quality child care, the Terri Lynne Lokoff Child Care Foundation (TLLCCF) created the Terri Lynne Lokoff/Children’s TYLENOL®, Children’s ZYRTEC® National Child Care Teacher Awards. The National Child Care Teacher Awards has been presented since 1994 and acknowledges the critical role of childcare teachers in providing quality early care and education. Fifty teachers win each year and each award recipient receives $500 for the teacher’s personal use and up to $500 to implement the project. Out of the 50 teachers, one receives The Helene Marks Award and the honor of being named the National Child Care Teacher of the Year, and receives an additional $1,000. Contenders for this award are the top ten scorers of the 50 recipients who answer a series of questions, scores based on a rubric.

Each year, Educational Playcare proudly has several of our teachers nominated for the Terri Lynne Lokoff National Teacher Awards and 2020 is no exception. This year, we are excited to announce that we have seven Terri Lynne Lokoff Award recipients.

This year’s recipients are:

Elissha Park, Avon
Amanda Cyr, Berlin
Jaci Taylor, Cheshire
Meghan Follert, Farmington
Mikayla Alquist, Madison
Melinda Spencer, Wallingford
Karen Hicinbothem, Windsor
