Preschool and Child Care in East Hampton
Also Serving Families in Colchester, Portland & Surrounding Communities
Our East Hampton school is located on Route 66, just 3 miles from Exit 13 off of Route 2, less than 10 minutes from Glastonbury and close to the Hebron/Marlborough lines too. It has been open since January of 2015. Having provided exceptional childcare services throughout Connecticut for more than 30 years, we poured all of that experience into its development. We build it from the ground up, sparing no expense. Every feature of the facility is a reflection of all of the positive things we have learned about early childhood education over the years.
As you drive into the large parking lot, you will be welcomed by our colorful landscaping and the serenity of our beautiful koi pond. There is also a drop-off and pick-up lane allowing for convenient transitions to and from school. The infant and toddler playgrounds are located on the right side of the facility, and our enormous preschool playgrounds, complete with a bounce house, climbers, and natural play equipment, can be found on the left.
Each entranceway is secured by a pin-activated security system. Each family and staff member is assigned a unique access code, ensuring that only authorized individuals may enter the building unassisted. Panic buttons are strategically placed to allow immediate notification to the local police department, if needed. In addition, security cameras in each classroom and playground allow our Directors to continuously monitor activities throughout the center.
As you walk through the front doors, you will see our large and bright reception area. Here you will be greeted by our Director and Assistant Director and offered a complimentary cup of coffee or tea. Corridors to the left and right lead to our preschool or infant/toddler classrooms, respectively. Our classrooms are enormous, providing much more space than the minimum requirements for Connecticut classrooms. Each one is divided into activity centers that range from Science and Math, to Music and Movement and from Building and Construction to Literacy and Dramatic Play. All classrooms have tons of natural light and the windows are at just the right height for small bodies!
At the end of the hallway you will find our professional kitchen, where nutritious snacks and lunches are prepared daily. In the center of the school, you will find another enormous room, which functions as an indoor play space with activities for climbing, balancing, throwing and other large muscle experiences. This room is utilized whenever the weather does not permit outdoor play and it provides space for our Arts and Enrichment classes, including music, fitness, and yoga!
Downstairs, you’ll find our school age classroom. It’s at the very front of the building, providing easy access to school buses that drop-off and pick-up children each day. Despite its separate entrance, it includes all of the same security features as our main building, including key-code only access. The school age classroom consists of a large room that is divided into multiple areas, including space to complete homework, and activity centers that include music, art, science, sensory, and much more. There is also a kitchen, which provides space for cooking activities.
As you drive up the road to our main entrance, you will see our beautiful koi pond at the front. This is a feature we love and have at most of our locations. Educational Playcare in East Hampton has nine large playgrounds. This enables us to tailor each one to the appropriate age group to which it corresponds. We have two large playgrounds for our preschoolers and school age children. These spaces include a large wooden boat-shaped climber, activity centers, and of course, our ever popular inflatable bounce house!
Our infant and toddler playgrounds are specifically designed for younger children with activity centers that encourage exploration and discovery in areas such as music, movement, and sensory experiences. Our infant, toddler, and two-year-old classes have direct access to their playgrounds right from their classrooms.
