Michele Eathorne, Director (East Hampton)

Michele has been in the field of early childhood for over 20 years. She received her associate degree in early childhood education in 1988 and her bachelor’s degree in child study in 2011, along with her Director Credential in 2013. She is a proud member of NAEYC.

Michele has worked in many capacities, including Assistant Teacher, to Lead Teacher, Curriculum Coordinator, Site Manager, and a Director overseeing a large school readiness program that included a trauma-informed preschool classroom. Michele has also taken classes working toward her master’s degree in business administration.

Michele has an adult daughter, Bonnie, along with two cats and a corgi living at home. Michele enjoys walks in the woods with her dog, gardening, cooking, sewing and quilting. She has also recently taken up building and refurbishing a couple of dollhouses in her spare time, as well.

“I was raised in a family with 12 siblings; as the eldest daughter with 10 younger siblings, I loved being nurturing and curious with them in exploring the outdoors. I continue to love seeing children’s curiosity and wonderment as they explore their world and viewing it from their perspective.”
