Sam Duquette, Assistant Director (Ellington)

Sam joined Educational Playcare in 2018 at our Windsor location and then transferred to the Ellington location once the center opened. During her time as a teacher, Sam could be found in taking on many responsibilities, but her main role was a Lead teacher in our Infant program. Sam has over ten years of experience in the field of early childhood, working at two other childcare centers prior to joining Educational Playcare.

Sam has her associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Manchester Community College, as well as her Head Teacher’s Certificate. She also has a degree in culinary arts, holds her Serve Safe certificate, and has been able to assist in our kitchen to prepare the lunches and snacks at the center when needed.

Sam enjoys working at the Ellington location, as it is part of the community she grew up in and feels like her home away from home. Sam was born and raised in Vernon, CT and still lives there with her husband, two teenage daughters, and four fur babies (one Siberian Husky and three Chihuahuas). Outside of work, Sam enjoys cooking, baking and spending time with my family.
