Preschool and Child Care in Oxford
Also Serving Families in Naugatuck, Southbury, Seymour & Surrounding Communities
In September of 2017, we opened a new state of the art school in the Oxford Towne Center/Quarry Walk development at 300 Oxford Road (Route 67). Our Oxford school reflects all of the positive components we have learned about early childhood education over more than 30 years of providing exceptional child care services.
As you drive into the complex, you’ll find our school to the left of Market 365. The center offers plenty of free parking spaces for parents for easy drop and pick up. The classrooms benefit from wonderful natural lighting and colorful interior features. Surrounding the building are spacious playgrounds, providing the children with ample space to enjoy the outdoors while developing their large muscle skills.
We take security seriously. Our Oxford school utilizes facial recognition technology to ensure that only authorized individuals are able to enter the building. In addition, security cameras in each classroom and play area allow all activities in our school to be monitored. We also have strategically placed panic buttons that link us directly to the local police department in the event of an emergency.
As you walk through our front door, you will be welcomed by a large and bright reception area. Here you will be greeted by our Director and offered a complimentary cup of coffee or tea. Along the hall outside our infant classrooms, you’ll find our “Car Seat Ports,” where parents can leave their child’s car seat or carrier each day for convenience.
Walking through the corridors, you will notice our beautiful and brightly lit classrooms. All of our classrooms have been designed to be very child-centered, right down to the tiniest detail. One thing you might not notice but certainly our infants and toddlers do, are the decorative light panels. Young children are always looking up and these provide a far better view than harsh fluorescent lighting.
Our classrooms are enormous and provide much more space than the minimum requirements for Connecticut classrooms. Each one is divided into activity centers that range from Science and Math, to Music and Movement, and from Building and Construction to Literacy and Dramatic Play.
In the very front of our school, you will find our large indoor play room. It provides the children a place to play even when the weather won’t allow us to go outside. We also use it for our Arts and Enrichment classes.
We have a professional kitchen, too. Parents love that we provide nutritious lunches, as well as two snacks each day, and the menu is very child friendly!
Outside, the school is surrounded by several infant/toddler and preschool playgrounds. Our outdoor play areas are unbelievable. There is plenty of shade under the many canopies on our playgrounds. Our infants and younger toddlers have four playgrounds designed specifically for young children who are still crawling or learning to walk. Each playground is designed and gated for the safety of our children.
Any concern about a child care center we had has become a distant memory thanks to EPC.
My daughter loves go to EPC every day! It’s a great feeling knowing that she is being taken care of.
EPC is an amazing child care center! The teachers and directors are so compassionate and truly care.
At EPC, our son is free to explore his interests in a supportive, open and beautiful space.
