Marisol Rodriguez, Assistant Director (Wallingford)
Marisol has been working in the field of Early Childhood Education for more than 24 years. She began her career as a Preschool Head teacher and as a Health and Safety Coordinator at another center. In 2007 she received the Terri Lynn Lokoff National Teacher Award, placing in the top ten teachers in the country. Her passion is to inspire children to learn through play.
Marisol has been working at Educational Playcare since 2013. She worked as a Preschool teacher and later became a Lead Teacher for our toddler program and a Curriculum Coordinator before being promoted to Assistant Director in Wallingford. She is a NAEYC member, a CT Charts-a-Course member, and holds an associate degree in Early Childhood Education.
Marisol lives in Hamden with her husband, Robert. They have five children, two of whom serve our country through the military. Marisol also has nine grandchildren, two of whom attends Educational Playcare. In her spare time, Marisol enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, visiting beaches, and traveling the world with her service boys. She is also an ovarian cancer survivor and loves to help make chemo bags for all the patients at the Smilow Cancer Center at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital once a year.
