Summertime Preschool Curriculum
During the summer months, our children get to experience Educational Playcare’s EPiC Summertime Preschool curriculum. Values such as respect, trustworthiness, honesty, caring, and self-expression are emphasized as children engage in activities appropriate for three- to six-year-olds.
Weekly, our program features a different theme. Why themes? After years of operating preschool childcare and camp programs, we have found what does and does not work, and through refining our strategy, we now offer the best of the best! Additionally, our teachers, several with the program since its introduction, have many years of experience working with a wide range of children.
What does a day during our Summertime Preschool curriculum entail? Your three- to six-year-old get to experience and participate in carefully planned, age appropriate activities drawing from a wide span of resources. Children are grouped by age and are always offered the option to engage in structured activities or to pursue their individual interests.
Because children are still developing their taste buds, our lunches are specifically put together for preschoolers. Once a week, as a treat, we have a barbecue lunch, with all of the hamburgers and hot dogs you can eat!
Weekly field trips, varying by children’s age, are also part of our program.
Some of the other features of Educational Playcare’s Summertime Preschool Curriculum include:
- Morning and afternoon snacks and lunch are provided
- All teachers are CPR & First Aid certified
- Field trips each week
- On-site Athletic Fields & nature trails
- On-site garden
- Instructional Athletics
- Weekly Cooking Activities
- Science & Nature Activities
- Camp Newsletters
- Weekly BBQ’s
Any concern about a child care center we had has become a distant memory thanks to EPC.
My daughter loves go to EPC every day! It’s a great feeling knowing that she is being taken care of.
