Educational Playcare uses electronic media to provide you with state of the art communications. Each classroom has an iPad with a program called Tadpoles which enables teachers to create daily reports for every child, every day! These reports include information about daily activities, meals and snacks, diapering/toileting and more! Reports are automatically emailed to you when your child is signed out for the day. We also use our iPads to send pictures every day, and occasionally short videos, so you can stay connected throughout your child’s day.
You can receive your pictures and reports anywhere that you can access your email. There’s even a mobile app available so that you can access it all from your smart phone! The app allows you to provide information to your child’s teacher too which is especially important to our families with infants as it allows families to send information about their child’s last feeding, changing, and how he/she slept the night before.

Peek at the Week
Each week, families receive an email that includes interesting facts and trivia regarding the week’s curriculum theme, notifications and reminders of special events, birthday and anniversary announcements, and whole lot more! We call this email our Peek at the Week!
Additionally, families receive a weekly newsletter from our Director of Curriculum which includes a summary of the week’s planned activities and ways that parents can extend their child’s learning at home. This includes facts about our curriculum topic to discuss with your child, the words to the songs we’re singing, the signs that we’re learning, and more!
Communication between our teachers and our families is one of our most important goals. For this reason, families are always encouraged to talk to their child’s teacher during drop-off and pick-up times. However, we also offer a more formal setting for families and teachers to connect. These parent-teacher conference sessions are offered three times each year: in October, February, and June. Our October conferences provide an opportunity for families and teachers to get to know each other better and to plan goals for the next year. In February and June, teachers and families will meet to discuss each child’s progress and to establish new goals.
